One of India’s longest running television serials Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai enjoys a huge fan following. Having been running for the past 15 years, the show started with Hina Khan and Karan Mehra’s Akshara and Naitik. As the story progressed forward with Shivangi Joshi and Mohsin Khan’s Naira and Kartik and now focuses on Pranali Rathod and Harshad Chopda’s Akshara and Abhimanyu. Well, for the past few weeks it has been heavily reported that the show is about to go through a generational leap, which will lead to the exit of the current cast.

Despite producer Rajan Shahi dismissing the speculations, the rumours have continued to do rounds on the internet. Now actress Ami Trivedi, who essays the role of Abhimanyu’s mother Manjiri Birla, has also reacted to the same. In an interview with Bollywood Life, she was asked about the rumoured leap and Pranali-Harshad’s exit. Quoted by the entertainment portal, she said, “Honestly, mujhe koi idea nahi hai. I am going with the story the way it comes. We are given only two episodes story and we know only that much. So, mujhe honestly nahi pata. Jitna samaj ara hai ki yeh baatein faail rahi hai but let’s see aage chalke kya hoga. Further in the interview she was asked if according to everyone’s beloved AbhiRa’s love story should end so soon, to which she said no. She went on to express that she wants Akshara to full-fledgedly become the daughter-in-law of the Birlas. She said, “I don’t want AbhiRa to get over. It is loved so much. It is getting appreciated so much. Akshara ko mere ghar ki bahu toh banne do. Vo banti hai aur chali jati hai. Toh main nahi chahti ki AbhiRa end ho but as I said I am taking each day as it comes.”

In the upcoming episode of the serial, it will be seen that Akshara and Abhimanyu successfully save Manjiri. While they are at the hospital it is revealed that Abhimanyu saves some people before Manjiri, which leads to everyone blaming him for her condition. If reports are to be believed, Manjiri’s health might significantly deteriorate, which would lead to her death. Before taking her last breath, she might express her last wish of wanting to see Abhimanyu and Akshara happily married, so that their family can be complete. It will be a waiting game to see how the future episodes of the show pan out.
